  • Monday, January 4 to Friday, September 10, 2010 until 2:00p.m.

    Nomination Period
    Nomination papers may be filed by candidates or an agent commencing January 4, 2010 through to September 10, 2010 at the Town Clerk's Office, 105 Elgin St. W. Nomination papers may be filed from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on September 10, 2010 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

  • Monday, January 4 to Friday, December 31, 2010

    Campaign Period
    A candidate's campaign period begins on the day he or she files a nomination paper with the Town Clerk and ends December 31, 2010 (unless the candidate withdraws the nomination, the Town Clerk rejects the nomination or the candidate is continuing his or her campaign to erase a deficit). A candidate must file a nomination paper before any campaign activity is commenced; this includes raising campaign funds or incurring campaign expenses.

    Voters' List Available
    On or before September 1, 2010, the Town Clerk will provide the Voters' List to registered candidates. The Voters' List will also be made available to the general public for supervised viewing only.

  • Tuesday, September 7, 2010

    Revision Period Begins
    Eligible voters whose names are not on the Voters' List or where their information is shown incorrectly may be added or have their information amended on the Voters' List by completing an application with the Town Clerk. Application may also be made to remove another elector's name from the Voters' List.

  • Friday, September 10, 2010 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

    Nomination Day
    Last day for filing nominations. Nominations may be filed from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Office of the Town Clerk. Deadline for making an application to remove another elector's name from the Voters' List.

  • Friday, September 10, 2010 until 2:00 p.m.

    Withdrawal of Nomination Papers
    Last day to withdraw nomination paper. Nominations may be withdrawn in writing commencing at 9:00 a.m. and before 2:00 p.m.

    Voting Day
    Wednesday, December 1, 2010 Term of Office Commences Friday, December 31, 2010 End of Campaign Period This is the end of a candidate's campaign period, unless he or she withdrew their nomination, the nomination was rejected by the Town Clerk or the candidate is continuing his/ her campaign to erase a deficit. Candidates may not raise funds or incur expenditures beyond this day unless they have a deficit and have notified the Town Clerk in writing of their intent to extend their campaign period.

  • Wednesday, March 25, 2011 until 2:00 p.m.

    Deadline for Filing of Financial Statements
    Final date on which all nominated candidates must file their financial statements. Financial statements are to be filed with the Town Clerk, 105 Elgin St. W., prior to 2:00 p.m.
